It is not possible to know the conditions of the wall surface until the paper is removed. It may be necessary to repair the walls before repainting. Repairs will be charges on a time and materials basis, and usually these charges are minimal.

Ceilings are generally painted with flat white latex paint, which gives a soft bright appearance. However, any color or sheen can be used to produce the desired effect.

Walls are painted in a huge variety of colors and sheens to suit your taste. Before painting, walls often need to be spackled to fill small holes and cracks. Flat paint is generally preferred because it mutes the surface and helps hide imperfections. Walls are priced for one coat unless otherwise noted.

Baseboards, doors and windows casing, doors, windows, and all other wood trim are considered woodwork. Woodwork is almost always painted with semi-gloss or gloss enamel paint. Woodwork and walls are priced seperately.

In order to insure proper adhesive, these types of surfaces must be sanded and primed with a stain blocking primer. These surfaces can then be finished coated with oil or latex finish paint.
